Oil Seal

The rotary shaft seal is an indispensable component in a lubricated moving part and must be chosen with extreme care to ensure that the right design and materials are used to guarantee a long trouble-free life to the part.  Our rotary shaft seals are manufactured using the latest techniques and the most reliable materials to ensure they fully meet the requirements of their end-use.

The principal elements of a shaft seal, subject to strict quality control, are :

metal casing : sheet steel is normally used. Stainless steel is available on request

garter spring : Phosphated C72 spring steel (standard), or AISI 302 stainless steel (for acids and water).

elastomer : We list here (see scroll box) the physical / mechanical properties of the compounds used for our standard production
